Last day of summer 2011

Ky had to go get fitted for her dress to be in my cousins wedding.....

Then we went to lunch at Olive Garden and used our last "free bowling" coupon!

So long summer 2011.
It's been great!

Splash pad

One of the kids favorite things to do this summer was go to the splash pad/park in Mville and Super Target.
I'm not complaining, I love me some Target!

One more fun day before school starts

Mom and I took the kiddos to Dan Nicholas Park park in Salisbury. It's been about 20 years since I've been there. The kids loved it, they have a campground so they decided we are taking a trip back there this fall!

Me and Layton on the paddle boats, which by the way were the hardest to paddle boats I've ever been on! What a workout!

If you have kids under the age of 10 I HIGHLY recommend this place. (older kids would enjoy it too, just a little more for the younger peeps) I didn't get pictures of the rest of the park but there is also a mini zoo with bears, bobcats, etc., a petting zoo with barn animals, a splash pad, putt putt, hiking, and tons of playground equipment! We spent all day there and didn't have time to do it all!

Memories

I used to eat this stuff 20 some years ago. I saw it in the store and immediately it took me back to being a kid, sitting in front of the TV on Saturday mornings with a bowl of Smurf cereal! I was sure Joey would have the same reaction so I bought it, got home with it and he says "what the heck is this?" Apparently he didn't get out much as a kid!!
