This chick can run.....she will get on the field and run the entire time. She's still a little shy about going after the ball but dang she's fast!

Ky's choice of outfit to wear to Layton's ballgame Saturday. I love the way she expresses herself. She is not a follower for sure, she likes to do her own thing, even with her style. I love that about my little girl!

Last Sunday to church she wore Layton's old soccer bedroom slippers with a dress. I didn't say a word to her, I want her to feel like she can express herself. I don't want to teach her to do what everyone else is doing, wear what other girls wear, fix her hair like all the other girls. I want her to be HER!

So if you see us out in public and she has green hair, mix matched socks, or bedroom slippers on her feet - don't ask!!
 

Oh yea and did I mention she has a tiny, little attitude also?!?!

Great week.

I was off work all last week, which I love but I must say I love to work too. Not that I love working it's just that if I had nothing to do I'd go insane! I mean I can entertain myself for a few days but after that I need to work!
My schedule just worked out where I work really hard Monday - Thursday one week then off Friday thru the following Monday, like 11 days later. It will be like that again this week, I have a hard week for 4 days then a long vacation!
With both kids in school it would be really difficult for me to stay home and do nothing all the time, just not my thing!

I've been super blessed to have the opportunity to be my own boss, and have awesome people to work with. I couldn't ask for a better job, really I love it!

I did manage to clean the entire house really good (amazing how much I can do in 4 hours without interruption), volunteer at the kids school, have lunch with Joey, lunch with the kids, and lunch with my bestest friend, (not all in the same day), and lots of shopping thrown in there, also had a date night with Joey, and 2 birthday parties....see that's why I must have a job, I like to spend money! And my job keeps me in shape, I also like to eat therefore my job keeps me from weighing 200 lbs!

Maiden Rec soccer 2011

This is Layton's 6th year playing soccer but our church didn't do Upward this year so we went with the Maiden Rec. They played last Saturday and I missed the game, they played Tues night but I forgot my camera.....

The sun was absent this week

We haven't seen the sun in over a week now! It rained a few days this week and the other days were just cloudy. The kids don't mind, they make the best of it!

Where did the weekend go?

Why is Monday so far from Friday, and Friday so near to Monday?
Wow, this past weekend FLEW by, I blinked and missed it! Friday night we went to Gastonia with the kids school to Monkey Joes. We didn't get home til almost midnight.
Saturday Joey had to work so dad picked up Layton so Ky and I could go to Charlotte with the girls to get ready for my brothers wedding. We had a great day out with the girls.  Joey got off work, picked up Layton and they had a soccer game. Ky and I missed his game, but they won! Layton scored a goal! We all met back home about 5pm, ate supper, and we were all so tired we went to bed early.
Sunday Joey and Layton went to the Panther/Packers football game. Ky and I went to church, lunch, and to see the play Wizard of Oz which was really, really good. (one of my customers paid for our tickets, she knew Kylin would love it, so sweet!)
We all met back home about 6pm, ate supper, baths, packed up for school Monday then to bed!!

What a whirwind of a weekend.....that's our crazy, busy lives!

So I know I've been posting mostly pics of Ky lately. That's cause Layton didn't go with us to Columbia, it was just the girls until Saturday. These are just random pics of Ky eating at the mall food court. She looks so serious about something! We had already ate lunch at Olive Garden but she had to have something at the mall just so she could sit in the little chair! Gotta love her!
